Outline – In Singapore and Japan, teachers lead their pupils to record their mathematics in a different way from how we in the UK have traditionally recorded learning mathematics. This course will look at examples of pupils’ learning journals from a range of year groups, understand how this approach complements the teaching for mastery approach and provide an opportunity to see the course leader demonstrate how to use journaling with a group of children from Parkland Primary School.
